This is (a badly taken photo of) Phil Elverum, otherwise known as Mount Eerie when he is on stage. He played tonight at the Central United Church. He is very meek (when he finished playing, he put his guitar in a backpack and walked off, fastest gear pack up ever), probably has a deeper relationship with nature than most of us, and is a fan of ending his songs abruptly, at least when performing live. I would have talked with him after the show, had he not given me the impression that human interaction wears on his soul (not in a bad way, like he doesn’t seem like an asshole or anything).
