I’m watching Hip Hop Squares on MTV2. It’s hosted by one Peter Rosenberg, of you know what his story is fame. Anyway, of the nine participants in the squares, four of them have questionable hip-hop cred, at least when it comes to his rigorous standards. There’s Vinny of Jersey Shore which, yeah, I’m done talking about him. There’s Damien Lemon, a comedian who’s on some show called Guy Code (eye roll here) which, as far as I can tell, is not very hip-hop at all. I repeat, in Rosenberg’s standards. Also, there’s football player Lamarr Woodley, who, could someone tell me his connection to hip-hop? Is he dating Kreayshawn or something? Finally, there’s Amber Rose, whose connection to hip-hop is having a stalled music career, appearing in a few videos, dating Kanye, and being engaged to Wiz Khalifa. I’ll give her a break since she has a hell of a lot more connections to the community than the other three I listed.
Anyway, Rosenberg seems to be having a pretty good time and I’ll admit, this show is like, a quarter of a good time, half if I wasn’t sober right now. Curious though, why isn’t he raking on the coals any of the four people I listed for not being real enough? That’s weird. Fuck Rosenberg, and fuck the hip-hop community that this fool still has a career. Yeah, I’m still pissed and considering I have an outrage cycle that lasts five seconds usually (like you), that’s something.
