It’s just been announced that Gavin McInnes is part of the “comedy” lineup for a local music festival and I can feel an impending rage blackout in the pits of my stomach that will work its way up to my brain in which then no pillow around me will be safe.

Hey, remember when he said, "I love being white and I think it’s something to be very proud of. I don’t want our culture diluted. We need to close the borders now and let everyone assimilate to a Western, white, English-speaking way of life"?

I don’t care if he’s disavowed what he said up there. I don’t care if he was being “ironic”. He’s still the worst kind of libertarian, enabling racism, sexism, and most glaringly, the strain of thinking that is “political correctness has gone too far!”, which is usually just code for “why can’t I be racist/sexist/etc. without people getting offended???”. Fuck Vice. Fuck Street Carnage. I’m this close to sitting out this year’s festival and I know that kind of threat does absolutely nothing but it’s just, ugh, what to do.
